Why is People For a Cruelty Free Society a good idea?

For one, while we support ALL legitimate animal activist groups with a cause and willing to make a difference, we are not a cult, and we will not force feed you our policies and demand you be one thing or the other. We don't care if you're a vegan or a meat eater, what race, what gender, whatever-- we simply want to offer an educated look at the world around you and the plight of so many animals and let you draw your own conclusions.

Everywhere, everyday, thousands of animals-- cows, horses, sheep, pigs, poultry, and various other animals are subjected to horrible living conditions, cruel experiments, and unspeakable horror, all to entertain us or tantalize our tastebuds! We here at PCFS (People for Cruelty Free Society) are not just about changing slaughterhouse cruelty, we also support ending the fur trade globally, euthanasia riddled shelters, ending all forms of animal related entertainment, and tougher laws for animal abusers.

We are a group who believes that a wider range of people can be reached by realizing that no matter how horrible you make it look, the world will not altogether stop eating meat. Therefore, we reach out to the meat eaters of the world. Can you honestly say that you want to see your meat TORTURED before it dies and reaches you? Of course not! No one does, yet it happens-- simply because it's not cost effective to make the animals comfortable, or kill them in any human painless way. If we must have meat-- I ask you-- why can't we treat the animals giving their lives for us, the ultimate sacrifice, a few small comforts.
